What is Destined 2 Dance Awards?

Destined 2 Dance Awards was founded on December 13, 2005 by Athena Cosby. The goal of Destined 2 Dance Awards is to fulfill a dancers dream not only to dance from the heart, but to be recognized for their superior work and ability to dance through creative movement. The event is held annually in select states, during this event we award outstanding dancers, instructors, and dynamic dance studios. We have nomination processes in order to award the dancers. We also use this show to help promote dance throughout the community, with studios showcasing a genre of dance to highlight there studio, as well as advertisements in the Destined 2 Dance Magazine, “Its time to Meet your Destiny.” We also interact with essay contest and issue cash scholarships to students who are essay finalist to help them to further their education in dance. During this event historical facts behind the different genres of dance are given so people can learn where these dances originated and why. This is only the beginning in the journey to install dance in everyone hearts, then all studios and dancers will soon meet a one location and put on the biggest dance awards extravaganza ever.
